Upon the passing of Deana's final parent, she harnessed the interplay of light and shadow to craft her series of photographs titled "In Between Light and Shadow."

Light and shadow, twin forces intricately intertwined, serve as the essence of existence. Light embodies life, happiness, prosperity, and, in a wider sense, perfection. Amounting to every spiritual aspect of life. Eternal, boundless, and immutable, light stands in stark contrast to shadow. Humanity finds itself caught within the duality of these opposing forces, without light, shadow would cease to exist.

Deana's father passed away on the same day her daughter was born, birthing not only the circle of life but also her signature series, "In Between Light and Shadow." Her intimate portraits capture a spectrum of emotions, veiled in solitude, evoking sorrow, mysticism, and ethereality. Employing long exposure techniques and unconventional lighting, Deana orchestrates shadows reminiscent of life itself—a moody dance where light and shadow intertwine.
